To Our Patients
This page will offer you the simplified, latest updates to what's happening with our closure and service recovery operations.
For COVID-19 related information, see our page here.

Service Recovery Protocol

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we have worked to deliver critical urgent care during these challenging times.  As we work with service recovery, please keep in mind:

  1. Hundreds of our patients were affected through the state-mandated shelter-in-place closure.  This is also true of every dental and medical provider.  It will take at least 2 months to accommodate these patients.

  2. Social distancing and increased infection control protocols have increased the time between appointments and reduced the total number of patients that can be seen.
  3. We are working to safely resume daily operations.  We have followed the new infection control protocols with all patients treated since March and will continue them indefinitely.

Service Recovery Appointment Policy

  • Existing patients that were seen prior to March 18, 2020 have priority for rescheduling, starting May 4 and will be contacted by our Team in the coming days.

  • New routine, non-urgent appointments are being rescheduled for June 5, 2020 or later.

  • Patients over the age of 65 and patients with compromised medical issues are highly encouraged to postpone non-essential procedures until shelter-in-place orders end on June 12, 2020.

  • New patients that meet the ADA criteria for emergency or urgent dental care will be triaged via phone during scheduled clinic hours; those with conditions that cannot wait will be given a Priority Appointment.  The ADA definition of emergency/urgent needs can be found here.

Operational Changes

Please rest assured that since March, we remain in compliance with all Standard Precautions and Infection Control protocol required by the CDC and Georgia DPH.

Resuming elective care will be very different than it was before March 2020

  1. There are new requirements to enter the office.

  2. Social distancing requirements will remain in effect indefinitely.

  3. Reading materials, pamphlets, pens, beverages, and refreshments have been removed.

  4. Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements have been increased for all surgical staff.

  5. New room decontamination protocols are in place.

  6. New environmental controls have been installed in the office to ensure adequate air handling and ambient air sterilization.

Even if we have fewer active cases in our area, we must be mindful of not diverting resources from those still on the COVID-19 frontlines.

Access Requirements

  • You must have an appointment to enter the building.

  • Each patient may have only one (1) escort over the age of 18.  It is preferred this escort wait in their vehicle.

  • If you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, or are otherwise concerned you have COVID-19, DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC, instead call the state COVID-19 Hotline: (844) 442-2681.

Visitor Restrictions

  • If you’re sick, have a fever or a confirmed case of COVID-19, do not escort or accompany a patient.

  • Patients may only have up to 1 person with them at any time.

  • Except for patients, accompanying individuals/escorts must be at least 18 years old.

  • All patients and visitors must wash their hands (or use sanitizer) before and after leaving rooms.

Extra Advice
While shelter-in-place has been released, please continue to follow all information that has been advised by public health officials, namely:
  1. Stay home, unless absolutely necessary.
  2. Avoid others. At this time, you should assume anyone you meet can be a carrier of the virus.
  3. Cover you face when out.  This will prevent spreading any respiratory illness you may have and not know it.  Realize, many that are sick do not realize they are.  You do not need any special mask/covering to be effective.  Suggestions may be found here
